On April 3, 2018, the communities of Howard and Suamico approved the operational referendum, placed on the ballot by the Board of Education, by a 58.6% to 41.4% margin. Thank you to residents who attended listening sessions, asked questions, and voted. Your engagement demonstrates our communities’ interest and dedication to our students, staff and schools. The results represent a vote of confidence in the vision for the school district and will allow us to address critical needs, including reducing class size, enhancing teacher compensation, and maintaining facilities. We will continue to give regular updates on the referendum. If you have any questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your school board member. PBIS Corner "The Bulldog Way"4th Grade Students from Mr. Walsh’s class ( Long term sub for Mrs. Eickholt) as well as Mrs. Geiser's class turned in their collected Paws for office prizes. The students chose smelly erasers, colored pencils, crayons and coloring books, squishies and gel pens.
This week is a BUSY week for PBIS after Spring Break. All students will be getting a Playground Booster on how to be safe on the playground and expectations as the weather warms up. They will also learn what to wear during the change of seasons. Please ask your child about this. We follow the 50 degree Rule. If the temperature is below 50 jackets/sweatshirts are required and they must be worn outside. Staff SpotlightSo which staff member enjoys eating pizza and spending time with her two daughters? It's Mrs. Phillipi!
Mystery for this week: This teacher has been teaching for ten years and graduated from UW Oshkosh. She loves to take her lab mix for long walks and Butterfingers are her favorite treat. The answer will be revealed in next week's newsletter! ********************************************************************** |
