Congratulations to Meadowbrook School for being recognized at one America’s Healthiest Schools- Bronze Level. This honor is earned by successfully meeting a rigorous set of criteria for serving healthier meals and snacks, getting students moving more, offering high-quality health and physical education, and empowering school leaders to be healthy role models. Healthy students will help make an overall healthier community. This is a school wide effort from healthy snacks, to nutritious breakfast & lunch menu, increase physical activity during the school day, active recess, quality physical education, parent and community involvement. You will see this banner hanging in the gym. Thank you to all who is helping with the vision of “Every child deserves a healthy future.” ********************************************************************** Cleaning closets? Did you come across a few things the health room could use? That's right - our Health room is running low on extra pants that are loaned out to students; in all sizes - and for both boys and girls. We also go through underwear and socks; and would gladly take any you can spare. If you have any you are willing to donate; please have your child bring them to the office. We appreciate your help! ********************************************************************** VIP Time
Very Important Pack Time The launch of our VIP time has gone extremely well! Each of our new Packs has come up with a name, and have played some fun games getting to know each other! Ask your child about their new friends! Our focus will be to create community, create a network of support for our students and build proficiencies in 21st Century Skills. Please contact Mrs. Eickholt ([email protected]) or Mrs. Wick ([email protected]) with questions. ********************************************************************** Park Partnership
We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Village of Howard. Meadowbrook School is fortunate to have a beautiful park located behind our school. Mrs.Eickholt and Mrs. Wick met with Mr. Farr and Mr. Harris from the Village of Howard to propose the idea of installing display cases along the Meadowbrook Park walking trail. These cases will be used to showcase our students’ creativity skills to the community members who use the walking trail. Our long-term goal is to utilize the park for educational activities on a regular basis. We are excited about this additional opportunity to share the amazing skills our students are learning. We hope you will make time to visit the park and celebrate our students’ work. You can either donate it to the school or have it back when the concerts are done. Please email Mrs. Tomashek ([email protected]) if you can help. Thank you!
********************************************************************** Plans are well underway for the holiday concerts; and we need your help to ensure the night is a success. Please click here to learn more about the areas we need assistance with.
