Keeping kids safe and healthy at school is our number one priority! Serving healthy and nutritious foods is also very important to our team as well! This school year there is a student at Meadowbrook that has a severe food allergy to eggs. Because of this life threatening allergy, we as a department will be substituting all major egg products from the schools breakfast and lunch menu for the entire school year. Unfortunately life threatening is not an exaggeration. Please note that consequently all egg dishes on the menu will be removed and substituted with the following foods on the following days:

Parent Pick Up ReminderParents who park on Hillcrest Heights after school to pick up their child, we are respectfully asking that you do not park between the driveways of 828-834 Hillcrest Heights. There is a school bus that arrives at the same time as our pick up to drop off a Lineville student who is in a wheelchair. If cars are parked in front of these houses, the bus then has to stop in the middle of the street and use the lift to get the student off the bus. This then causes a back-up on Hillcrest. Thank you for helping out!
********************************************************************** Parents using Wrap Around Care or Lamers Bus LinesPlease note that it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to communicate with Lamers Bus Lines at 920-434-5100 if your child is not riding the bus during their scheduled times. In addition; it is very important for you to notify both the school AND your care provider if your child will be absent or when their schedule changes. Although Champions is housed onsite; they should be contacted at 920-434-6043; as they are a separate entity.
******************************************** Child Custody MattersOur role as educators is to stay neutral in all custody matters. We will follow all court orders regarding your child(ren). If we do not have an official court order on file in our school office, we will treat both parents equally. Both parents, regardless of placement, can receive report cards and other communication about your child's progress unless we have court documentation directing us not to do so.
Questions regarding policies dealing with these types of matters should be directed to Becky Zimmer, Meadowbrook principal, or you can access more information on the District web site. ******************************************* Attendance/Absentee Procedures
Parents are required to call us anytime their child is absent. Please call the school attendance line at 662-5036 prior to 8:30 am; this line is available to take calls 24 hours a day. If we do not receive a call on an absent student, a follow up call will be made so we can verify the whereabouts of your child. The safety of your child is our top priority; so we take this process very seriously. If you do not call in prior to 8:45 am with the reason your child will be absent or tardy, an unexcused absence will be recorded.
Extended Absences: If you are planning a family vacation, etc. please pick up an Excused Absence Request Form from our office; or download and print one from the District web site. Forms should be completed and returned to the office or classroom teacher at least one week prior to the start of the absence. All extended absences must be approved by the building principal; and a copy of the approved form will be sent home with your child. ********************************************************************** Let's Recycle TogetherNew this year we will be collecting aluminum cans; and periodically taking them into Alter Recycling. All money earned will benefit Meadowbrook directly! So rather than throwing them into your general recycling; please consider dropping them off in the fenced in area near the sheds in our staff parking lot. We will discuss our progress at the monthly Bulldog Bash and promise to update as the money begins to accumulate. Thanks for your consideration!
