********************************************************************** March PSA Meeting Please make note that our next PSA Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 13th in the Meadowbrook Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will be finalizing every for the upcoming Silent Auction, hearing from a current School Board member on the upcoming referendum, and the 2nd grade team will be presenting. Hope to see you there! ********************************************************************* The annual PSA Silent Auction is coming up on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. here at Meadowbrook. There will be a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, Adult Raffle, Kid Raffle, DJ Dance, Balloon Artist, Frozen Custard from Zesty’s, a movie for the kids, and a special performance by the Meadowbrook choir. It is sure to be a fun-filled evening!
Each class is collecting donation toward a themed basket that will be then auctioned off at the event. Donations toward each classroom basket can be brought in directly to your child’s teacher. Please be sure that all donations are sent in to school by Friday, March 23rd so that we have time to assemble the baskets. For a list of each classroom’s chosen theme, please visit: https://goo.gl/af6rzu We are looking for crafty people to help us assemble the baskets on Friday, March 23rd in the Meadowbrook commons beginning at 5:00 p.m. Pizza and soda will be provided by the PSA. Feel free to bring the kids if you think they can help, too. If you plan to help out, please e-mail the PSA at [email protected] to let us know so we can be sure to provide the correct amount of food. Thank you for considering volunteering for this task! Referendum Update The referendum question on the April 3, 2018 ballot will provide the district the resources needed to meet the expectations of our community:

If dreams came true; her classroom would have a patio and a slide down to the playground. The answer will be revealed in next week's newsletter! ********************************************************************** 4th Grade Parents: On Wednesday, March 14th, students in 4th grade will visit Lineville Intermediate School for a Music Class Demonstration. Your child will need to choose a music class for 5th grade. Musicians in Band, Chorus, and Orchestra will perform for the 4th graders and discuss the music class options. After March 14th you will be able to register your class choice using an internet link which will be emailed to you. Music class registrations will be due by March 23rd.

Meadowbrook School donated $21,168.07 for the American Heart Association from our annual Jump Rope for Heart event. Thank you to the generosity of family and friends of Meadowbrook. Students can expect to get their “Thank you” gifts before spring break.
Mrs. Brunette & Mr. Kros ********************************************************************** All Meadowbrook students are invited to participate in the Fan tunnel; and the 3rd/4th grade choir will be singing the National Anthem. More information on how to purchase tickets will be sent home with your student in April.
The students pictured above were recognized at the Bulldog Bash on Thursday, March 1st as being "Leaders of the Pack". They are: Brynlee Vann, Karsten Cherek, Noah Naze, Gavin Blodgett, Matthew Przybylski, Karma Lipp, Mckenna Guyette, Eli Erdmann, Austin DeGroot, Matt Lucas, Jackson Zuidmulder, Olivia Griffin and Thomas Evert. The students also enjoyed taping Mrs. Zimmer to the wall during the Bash! Two pieces of tape could be earned by each class each day for their voice level in the cafeteria and waiting in line to exit the cafeteria. As you can see; they all did a great job and were successful in suspending her! ********************************************************************** Our schools now use the Activity Scheduler from rSchoolToday as our School Calendaring system. Saturday, March 10 - Kids Bootcamp to Benefit the Goody Triathlon Money raised will go towards sponsoring triathletes with special needs in the 8th Annual Goody Triathlon from schools around Northeast Wisconsin including Howard-Suamico. Thursday, March 15 (6:00-7:00 pm) District Art Show at Bay Port High School. K-12 student art will be showcased with a reception that will include light refreshments and a performance by the High School Chamber Ensemble. March 16 - HSSD Family Swim Night at Howard-Suamico Community Pool, 4-7 p.m. Come enjoy the water at the Howard Suamico Community Pool with other families from your elementary school. Please bring a swimsuit and towel. Pool toys will be provided. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. To register, visit www.hssdcommunitypool.weebly.com and click Family Swim Night. Saturday, March 17 - Project Play 60 (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) Lambeau Field Atrium Legends Club (4th floor). This is a FREE community event features activities that are sure to get kids up and moving.
