That's right - our Health room is running low on extra pants that are loaned out to students; in all sizes - and for both boys and girls. We also go through underwear and socks; and would gladly take any you can spare. If you have any you are willing to donate; please have your child bring them to the office. We appreciate your help! ********************************************************************** VIP Time
Very Important Pack Time We are excited to announce that we are launching a new school-wide opportunity on Friday, October 19. Most staff members will be assigned a pack of K-4 students to meet with on a weekly basis this school year. Meetings will take place every Friday from 9:00-9:25. Our focus will be to create community, create a network of support for our students and build proficiencies in 21st Century Skills. Please contact Mrs. Eickholt ([email protected]) or Mrs. Wick ([email protected]) with questions. ********************************************************************** NEW THIS YEAR FOR PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE NIGHTS:
The Giving Tree Donations
If you are able to attend parent teacher conferences, please consider bringing a canned good to support The Giving Tree, a food pantry that helps Howard-Suamico families. Items especially in need include: oatmeal, pancake mix, canned fruits, vegetables, ramen noodles, canned beans, boxed potatoes, boxed stuffing, plain pasta, and peanut butter. Also, marked containers are always available at all schools during the upcoming holiday concerts to collect items for The Giving Tree as well. 1st Annual Community Resource Fair The 1st annual Community Resource Fair at Meadowbrook will be on Tuesday, November 6th and Thursday, November 8th from 4-7:30. Make sure to stop in the gym at Meadowbrook when you are here for conferences to check it out. School and community agencies, resources, and programs will have tables and information set up both nights of parent-teacher conferences. Some school and community agencies will also have a staff member on site to help with questions, other detailed information, etc. Additional Resource Fair details will be sent home with your child/ren over the next week. ************************************************************** Meadowbrook Park PartnershipWe are excited to announce a new partnership with the Village of Howard. Meadowbrook School is fortunate to have a beautiful park located behind our school. Mrs.Eickholt and Mrs. Wick met with Mr. Farr and Mr. Harris from the Village of Howard to propose the idea of installing display cases along the Meadowbrook Park walking trail. These cases will be used to showcase our students’ creativity skills to the community members who use the walking trail. Our long-term goal is to utilize the park for educational activities on a regular basis. We are excited about this additional opportunity to share the amazing skills our students are learning. We hope you will make time to visit the park and celebrate our students’ work.
